We design and build websites around how a business works and how its visitors decide. A few projects at a time, so the person you talk to is the person who makes it.

01 — what we do

A web studio that makes each site once.

the idea

A website is never the goal. We learn how your business actually works, then build a platform around it: one that supports the work you do today and grows with it.

the method

We start with the business, not a layout. The design comes after, and every decision has to be able to explain itself.

A site that makes sense today and keeps making sense as you grow.

02 — blond editions

Selected work.

Each one began with a different business and a different question, so each one looks, works and sounds like its owner. Open them to see how the thinking turned into the site.

Authentic Life Design

A coaching and movement practice scattered across six disconnected pages. We moved it to a new domain and rebuilt it from zero as one ecosystem with four ways in: Club, Courses, School and Events.

Barefoot Shoes Shop

A Barefoot Shoe Shop whose real expertise lived in Instagram messages, phone calls and fitting sessions, while the website worked as a catalogue. We rebuilt it as a path — learn, measure, shop — with a size calculator, a guides section and brand pages, on a proven WooCommerce foundation shaped around how people actually choose shoes.

03 — how we work

Five stages in order.

Each stage answers a question the next one depends on. Nothing is designed before it is understood, and nothing is built before it is decided.

stage 01

Positioning

Before anything is drawn: what the business actually sells, who should be enquiring, and what has to be said before they will. Half our editions change their own brief at this stage — including deleting a price list.

stage 02

Experience design

The order a person meets things in, and what each screen is allowed to ask of them. Drawn against your real content, never against filler, so the structure survives contact with the business.

stage 03

Interface & motion

The typography, grid, colour and behaviour that make it yours and unmistakably not anyone else's. Motion is specified alongside the layout, because a transition is part of a decision, not applied after it.

Engineering

Hand-written code where the project needs it, a proven foundation like WooCommerce or Blocksy where it doesn't — chosen for your goals, not our habits. Custom functionality where no tool exists: configurators, questionnaires, calculators. Performance and accessibility are budgeted from the first week, not audited in the last.

Content system

A CMS shaped like your actual pages, so a year from now you can edit it without calling us and without breaking anything. Typed fields, draft preview, nothing for you to break.

04 — why the work is different

What you will want to know.

What happens before any design?

We spend the first weeks on your business, not on a layout. How you work, who you serve, what the site has to do. The structure comes from that, and the brief often changes along the way. That is the point.

How long does it take, and what does it cost?

Editions take 8–12 weeks and start from €4,000. We take three at a time, so the timeline is something we plan, not something we hope for.

Can I see the thinking, not just the screens?

Every edition has a case study that walks through the problem, the decisions and the reasons behind them, not only the finished pages.

What will you own at the end?

The site, the structure and the reasoning behind both. A CMS shaped like your actual pages, editable a year from now without calling us.

Who do you talk to after launch?

Someone who knows the site, because they made it. Maintenance is optional. The person who answers is the same either way.

05 — who you actually work with

Senior, or nobody.

BLOND.labs is not an agency with a team to keep busy. It is one lead, Petya Petkova, and a circle of senior specialists she has worked with for years, assembled around each edition. She stays on it from the first call to the last deploy.

The people on your project are named before it starts and chosen for that project alone. There is no account manager translating you to a team you never meet, nothing is handed to a junior to fill in, and no work goes to an agency downstream — which is also why three editions run at once and never more.

Fourteen years of engineering behind the work, three years of teaching front-end behind how it is explained. You will always know who made a decision, and you can always ask them why.
